Course Overview

Increasingly data is being interacted with via web services and this is opening up a huge range of opportunities for FME to interact with other business systems and to bring a level of integration across an organisation that has not traditionally been possible between different data silos. This course will look at how you can interact with API’s in FME including the different types of API security, as well as looking at how you process the data coming from these APIs in both JSON and XML formats. It will also cover how you can create JSON and XML based messages to post information back into API services to provide bi-directional interactions.

This training course provides a framework for a basic understanding of FME and how it can be used with Web Services. We find users come to master one function but go home with many new FME uses.

The training introduces basic concepts and terminology, helps students become efficient users of FME with web services, and directs you to resources to help apply the product to your own needs.
